Discover the legacy of Kokopelli Sweets, a micro bakery dedicated to the art of crafting exquisite pastries. Established in 1992, our passion for quality has made us a cherished part of the Dallas community.

Present Day

Our bakery is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. All the baking is now done in-house. In addition to selling candy, chocolates, and gelato, we now also offer coffee, cakes, brownies, and cookies, all made in-house. Walk in and savor the perfect blend of tradition, quality, and a commitment to deliciousness developed over three decades in the West End. In the last couple of years, we have transformed the candy business into what we now call a micro-bakery. 

2019

Catastrophe stroke four years later with the COVID pandemic.  To survive, we needed to start thinking outside the box.  One idea: if people have to work from home, self-isolate, and cannot enjoy going to a restaurant, maybe a food delivery angle could work.  Accounts were opened with all the delivery apps(Uber Eats, Grubhub, and Doordash).  At the time, we thought gelato was the only deliverable product from the store item selection.  Sales took off!   If people want food delivered well, let’s provide it.  We purchased a couple of cake display cases and developed relationships with some bakers in town.  Thanks to the dessert deliveries, we were able to keep our business open during the pandemic.

2015

The store relocated to a bigger space across the street. With the extra space, we could move from offering ice cream to gelato and also offer inside seating.

1992

It all started with an opportunity to open a candy shop in the West End, Dallas, Texas.  The idea was to sell bulk candy, chocolates, ice cream, and fun candy items.  It was a hit from day one.  Those were the hay days of the West End.
